Steps in to your eternal Reward

Discover how to become a "Born Again Christian"

Here are the steps on how to become a born-again Christian, based on using references from the King James Version (KJV) Bible:

Understand your current position in thei life.

  1. Recognize your need for salvation: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
  2. Understand the consequences of sin: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
  3. Learn about God's love and His plan for salvation: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
  4. Understand that Jesus is the only way to God: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
  5.  Recognize your need for repentance: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." (Acts 3:19)
  6. Believe in Jesus as the Son of God and your Savior: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)

It's time to take action:

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ: "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)

  1. Repent of your sins and turn to God: "The times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent." (Acts 17:30)
  2. Receive Jesus Christ into your life as Lord and Savior: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
  3. Be baptized as a public declaration of your faith: "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)

Here's a sample prayer of salvation to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior:

"Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and in need of Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose from the dead.

I confess that Jesus is Lord and I invite Him into my life to be my Savior and the Lord of my life. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I turn away from a life of sin and surrender my life to You.

Please cleanse me, Lord, and wash me in the precious blood of Jesus. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to live a life that honors and pleases You.

Thank You, Lord, for Your love, grace, and mercy. I receive Your forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. I trust in Him alone for my salvation.

From this day forward, I commit to following You and walking in obedience to Your Word. Thank You for adopting me into Your family and giving me a new life in Christ.

In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."

Remember, it's not the exact words that matter, but the sincerity and faith in your heart as you pray. This prayer is a starting point to express your desire to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in your new journey of faith, and seek fellowship with other believers to grow in your relationship with God.

Becoming a born-again Christian is a personal decision and journey of faith. These steps provide a biblical foundation for understanding salvation and starting a relationship with Jesus Christ. Seek guidance from a pastor, Christian mentor, or a local church to support you in your spiritual journey.
